The Korean Society of Speech Sciences (KSSS) is now accepting abstracts for the 2015 International Conference on Speech Sciences (ICSS 2015). The aim of this conference is to bring together professionals from all the diverse disciplines in phonetics, communication disorders (speech pathology and audiology) and speech engineering and to build bridges among them. Keynote presentations and other plenary events which bring both experience and vision of multi-disciplinary approaches to the understanding and development of speech sciences will contribute to our aim.
Call for Papers:
Submissions are invited in any of the following technical topic areas:
1. Phonetics (Theoretical & Experimental)
2. Applied Phonetics
3. Experimental Phonology
4. Speech Sound Disorder
5. Hearing Disorder
6. Voice Disorder
7. Speech Synthesis & Recognition
8. Speech Coding
9. Pronunciation Education of Foreign Languages
10. Other Areas in Phonetics and Speech Sciences
Types of Presentations:
1. Oral presentation: 20 minutes
2. Poster presentation: 60 minutes
Abstract Submission:
Abstracts consist of 200-250 words (main body) and 3-5 keywords. They should not exceed one A4 page including references. The format is: 12 point Times New Roman font, single-lined, margins set to 2.54 cm (1 inch) all around. Doulos SIL (
http://scripts.sil.org/DoulosSILfont) is to be used for phonetic symbols.
Abstracts should be written in English and submitted as email attachments in MS Word to: ksss
speechsciences.or.kr between February 1 and February 28, 2015. The abstract must include name(s) of author(s), affiliation(s), and email address(es). Preference for oral or poster presentation should be indicated at the bottom of the abstract. Presenters will be notified by March 30, 2015.
Full Paper Submission:
The length of full papers for accepted proposals is two page long in A4 size. The full papers should be submitted between August 16 and August 31, 2015. Further details for the submission will be notified in due course.
