Description:
The applied linguistics faculty in the English Department at Northern Arizona University invite applications for two open rank tenure-eligible positions beginning in August 2016.
Position one: Primary teaching and research interests in corpus linguistics (especially with an emphasis on spoken and/or written registers).
Position two: Primary teaching and research interests in second language acquisition, second language reading/writing, or technology enhanced language learning.
Responsibilities for both positions include teaching courses in the applied linguistics doctoral program, the MA-TESL program, and the English undergraduate program. Responsibilities also include doctoral supervision; active research; student advising and mentoring; and department, college, university, and professional service.
These are open rank searches, with rank determined according to the policies of Northern Arizona University. We strongly encourage applicants at all stages of their careers to apply. We are seeking the most promising applicants who meet the expectations of their rank.
