We invite you to participate in the 4th Patras International Conference of Graduate Students in Linguistics (PICGL4) which will be held at the Conference and Cultural Centre at the University of Patras, May 20-22, 2016.

This conference is addressed to graduate students (MA or PhD) from Greece and all over the world who would like to present current research in any field of linguistics (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, historical linguistics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, lexicology, lexicography, language acquisition, language teaching, etc.).

Invited Speakers: The invited speakers will be announced soon.

Call for Papers:

Graduate students (MA or PhD) in Linguistics are encouraged to submit an abstract of max. 500 words of their original research work in any field of Theoretical or Applied Linguistics until January 15, 2016.

Guidelines to participants:

Please send your anonymous abstract until 15 January, 2016 to the following address: picgl4upatras.gr.

The email message containing your abstract should be of the following format:

- Email subject: Abstract submission.
- Email body: (a) name and surname, (b) affiliation (Department and University), (c) the title of the paper, (d) the area of research (e.g. syntax, phonetics, psycholinguistics, etc.) and (e) how you wish to present your paper (i.e. talk or poster)
- Abstract should be sent as attachment in either .doc or .pdf file, which should be anonymous and should not exceed 500 words (including references).

− Presentations will last 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion.

− The official languages of the conference are English and Greek.
