Description:

The responsibilities that come with this function call for a young ambitious scientist with a strong research and teaching background, preferably in computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, data mining or other relevant areas. A strong computational background is required. We invite candidates with the following areas of interest and expertise to apply: data visualization, (social) data mining, machine learning, games or text analytics.
The successful candidate

- Has a PhD in a relevant discipline and has published in top international journals or proceedings
- Has a strong record in developing and teaching Bachelor and (Research) Master courses, and experience with supervising Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.
- Has the ability to acquire external funding for research.
- Has a promising profile in academic management.
- Has the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and department.
- Has acquired (or is willing to acquire) the Basic Teaching Qualification.
- Is able (or willing to learn) to communicate in Dutch.
