The Interdisciplinary Linguistics Program, College of Arts and Science, University of Saskatchewan, invites applications for a one year (12 months) full-time term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor $90,796 (floor) to $109,108(CDI ceiling)) with primary specialization in the area of Linguistics commencing 1 July, 2015. This position comes with a comprehensive benefits package which includes pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), sick leave, travel insurance, death benefit, dental plan, extended health and vision care plan, employee assistance program and flexible health and wellness spending program.
The successful candidate should have a PhD in Linguistics or Applied Linguistics by the time of appointment. Demonstrated excellence in teaching will be preferred.
The responsibilities of the position include teaching 15 cu (five classes) per academic year. Classes to be taught may include Ling 111.3 Language structures, Ling 112.3 Language dynamics, Ling 110.3 grammar as well as any senior undergraduate courses offered in the undergraduate linguistics program in the area of the candidate’s expertise.
