Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce the XI Workshop on Formal Linguistics, to be held on November 9, 10 and 11, 2016, at Universidade Federal do ParanĂ¡ (UFPR) in Curitiba, Brazil. The Workshop welcomes papers on any topic concerning formal accounts to meaning and structure with relevance to linguistic theory, and which explores either core aspects of grammar or some interface phenomena (syntax-semantic, syntax-prosody, morpho-syntax, morpho-phonology, semantics-pragmatics, lexical semantics, language acquisition, language change).

We are also pleased to announce that, as part of the activities of the workshop, the morning section of November the 10th will be dedicated to the COUNTING AND MEASURING conference. The COUNTING AND MEASURING conference aims at fomenting a deep discussion about the different perspectives involved in the semantics and pragmatics of counting and measuring across languages. It strongly encourages the submission of researches on under-represented languages, as well as on experimental researches.
