LingPy is a Python library for quantitative tasks in historical linguistics and dialectology, providing state-of-the-art implementations of algorithms for phonetic alignment, automatic cognate detection, and phylogenetic reconstruction. LingPy-2.5 offers a variety of new and interesting features, including:
- Enhanced documentation (see
http://lingpy.org)
- Initial approaches for partial cognate detection
- Full support for the three major platforms in Python3 and Python2
- Initial implementation of a command-line interface
