Meeting Description:

The Postgraduate Academic Researchers in Linguistics at York (PARLAY) conference has reached its fourth year after three successful conferences. PARLAY is a broad-ranging event which warmly invites postgraduate researchers from all walks of language study to share their research.

2nd Call for Papers:

We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Postgraduate and Academic Researchers in Linguistics at York conference (PARLAY) is now open. PARLAY 2016 is being run as in the previous year as an interdisciplinary event with a focus on language, and its organising committee is comprised of postgraduate students from the Departments of Language and Linguistic Science and Education.

The conference will be held on Friday 2 September 2016 in the Berrick Saul Building at the University of York, UK, which acts as a vibrant hub of research for postgraduates in the arts and humanities.

We invite postgraduate (Masters and Ph.D.) students and early career researchers to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on any topic in language and linguistics and all language-related areas in education. These may include, but are not restricted to: applied linguistics, cognitive linguistics, computational linguistics, conversation analysis, corpus linguistics, discourse analysis, forensic linguistics, historical linguistics, language acquisition, language learning and teaching, language planning and policy, language revitalisation, morphology, neurolinguistics, phonetics, phonology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, semantics, sociolinguistics, syntax.
