Description:

The Department of Linguistics and English Language announces a continuing status track, professorial position in linguistics.

Applications are invited from any field of linguistics, although preferential consideration will be given to those in the fields of computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, translation, or other computational approaches to language.

Qualifications:

- Ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer programming for linguistic analysis, as well as corpus linguistics or translation or research design and statistics
- Established research agenda/program
- Evidence of the potential to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels
(phonology, morphology, syntax)

The applicant must hold a PhD, or must have a completed PhD by August 2017.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include teaching, research, publishing, supervision of master’s theses, and citizenship assignments. Starting rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
