The George Mason University, Program in Linguistics in the English Department seeks applicants for a one-year position to begin on August 29, 2016. Benefits are included. Appointment will be for a Term (Visiting) Assistant Professor in Linguistics with a specialization in syntax with a secondary specialty in any linguistics field.
Applicants with expertise in second language acquisition are particularly encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in linguistics is required. Candidates should also have experience teaching graduate and undergraduate students.
The position involves teaching three courses in the fall semester and three courses in the spring semester. These will mainly be graduate-level courses in George Mason University’s Linguistics Master’s and Ph.D. programs. Information about our linguistics program can be found at http://linguistics.gmu.edu/
