A vacancy exists for a postdoctoral researcher to work on a project entitled “Language Mediated Attention in Infancy” working with the Oxford BabyLab team led by Professor Kim Plunkett testing children between 18 and 30 months using the Visual World task and various electrophysiological measures.

The post involves experimental design, infant recruitment, preparation of visual and auditory stimulus materials, testing of children and adults, data analysis, and preparation of manuscripts for publication. Experience in working with young children, preferably of the above age group is essential.

The successful candidate should hold (or shortly obtain) a doctoral degree in a related topic and should have experience using eye-gaze fixation and EEG related methods with infants and/or young children. Competence with the statistical package R and MatLab would be an advantage.

The post is funded by the Leverhulme Trust for 30 months. The appointee should be able to take up the position by 1 July 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter.
