Description:
The University of Göttingen, Philosophical Faculty,
General Linguistics Department, seeks to fill by April 1st, 2018, the post of a
junior researcher, part time 50% (19,9 hours/week), 13 TV-L. The position will be
filled for 3 years.
Job contents:
- collaboration to the creation of an
online platform for teaching and research on Ancient Indo-European languages
(principal investigators: Götz Keydana and Stavros Skopeteas);
- presentation
and publication of research findings;
- participation in the activities of the
General Linguistics Department (colloquia and publications);
- 2 hours teaching
(in General and/or Indoeuropean Linguistics);
- The preparation of a PhD within
this position is expected.
We expect:
- completed MA-degree linguistics
or equivalent (required);
- very good oral/written command of English
(required);
- very good oral/written command of German (desirable);
-
research focus in one or more than one Ancient Indo-European languages (desirable);
- solid background in modern linguistic theory (desirable);
- experience
with teaching and publishing (desirable).
