Subject: References on Animacy
E-mail this message to a friend Hello,
I am working with collective subjects, particularly with the animacy of the
referent of that type of subject. I was wondering whether there may be any
reason why animate/human referents may behave differently from
animate/non-human or inanimate entities, i.e. whether the latter may be more
readily conceptualised holistically or collectively than the former.
I would appreciate any feedback or reference about this particular issue.
Thank you very much in advance.
