Call for Proposals:
Special Issue of Studies in Second Language Acquisition, 2020
Studies in Second Language Acquisition (SSLA) is now entertaining proposals for the thematic issue of Volume 42, to be published in 2020. Given that SSLA is moving to 5 issues a year, the precise issue can be negotiated. Thematic issues of SSLA focus on areas of current interest and provide an excellent opportunity to bring together in one issue numerous approaches to a problem or methodology in the field of SLA. For examples, see previous June issues of SSLA.
A proposal should include a detailed rationale (1-2 pages max) for the thematic issue and abstracts (250-400 words) from the authors of the manuscripts that will be invited. All individual submissions will be subject to peer review.
Closing date for proposal submissions is September 21, 2018. Other manuscript and production deadlines are listed below.
Important Dates for Considerations:
- September 21, 2018: Proposals due in SSLA office
- October 26, 2018: Final decision reached
- February 22, 2019: Submission of first-draft manuscripts to SSLA via ScholarOne
- September 27, 2019: All final manuscripts due, submitted via ScholarOne
Please feel free to distribute this announcement to interested colleagues. If any questions arise, please feel free to contact us at ssla
