Meeting Description:
A new department of linguistics will be established at Beijing Language and Culture University. It calls for abstracts for its inaugural conference entitled ''Forum of Linguistic Sciences'', to be held on Oct 29-30, 2018, which aims to provide a platform for the linguistics community and related interdisciplinary areas, domestically and internationally -- to meet, present and discuss their latest research findings, key developments and trends in linguistics and its related interdisciplinary fields; to explore the new opportunities and challenges, and to discuss the possibilities for future collaborations.

Call for Papers:
Abstracts with the following topics (but not limited to these) are invited to submit:
1. Syntactic Cartography
2. Syntactic analyticity and synthesis
3. Language parameter setting
4. Language acquisition
5. Biolinguistics
6. Language typology
7. Distributed Morphology
8. Chinese linguistics
9. Other topics of linguistics
Each presentation will be 15 minutes, followed by a 5-minute discussion. Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author.
Deadline for abstract submission: September 26, 2018.
Notification of Acceptance: before October 6, 2018
Abstract Submission Description:
1. Abstracts are limited to one page (using 1 inch margins on all sides), including examples and (selected) references.
2. Abstracts must be written in English. Please use standard Times New Roman font, size 12 pt
3. Abstracts should be sent in the format of PDF or DOC.
4. All non-standard fonts should be embedded in the document.

Abstracts can be submitted from now until 26 September 2018.
