This summer program will take place from June 11 to June 23, 2018. We seek rising seniors, bachelor’s degree holders, and those currently in M.A. programs, particularly those from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in graduate education who are planning on pursuing a Ph.D. in Linguistics. Application open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents or non-U.S. citizens with DACA.

Linguistics has participated in the MICHHERS program since it started five years ago, and it has now been expanded to a full two-week internship, including additional benefits, with the support of a grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation.

Applicants interested in syntax, semantics, phonetics, neurolinguistics, language contact or sign language research are especially encouraged to apply, since available faculty mentors are more likely to be available in these areas.

Please contact us at rackmichhersumich.edu if you have any questions. We look forward to your application.
