Description:

The Jacobson Center for Writing, Teaching and Learning and the Department of Education & Child Study at Smith College invite applications for a non-tenure track, three-year renewable position at the rank of Lecturer, to begin August 1, 2018. Candidates should have a strong foundation in the theory, pedagogy, and practice of teaching writing to multilingual college students. Teaching responsibilities for this position will regularly include teaching first-year, writing-intensive courses and at least one pedagogy-based course on teaching writing to multilingual students. Other courses may be taught depending upon the candidate’s field of specialization. Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Composition and Rhetoric, Writing Studies, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or another relevant field is expected by the time of appointment. Faculty from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
