Meeting Description:
On 23–24 October 2019, the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) organizes a conference on “Caucasian Languages: Typology and Diachrony”, in honor of the eminent Russian Caucasiologist Mikhail Egorovich Alekseev, who would have turned 70 this year. In line with the scientific interests of M.E. Alekseev, topics of the conference include typological and historical comparative studies of Caucasian languages, and sociolinguistic and cross-cultural aspects of the languages of the Caucasus.
Call for Papers:
The deadline for submission is June 1, 2019. Send in abstracts of no more than 2 pages (font size 12, single spaced, 2.5 cm margins), as a separate file in .doc(x) or pdf format, to: kavkaz
iling-ran.ru. Abstracts should be anonymous. Please indicate your full name, affiliation and e-mail address in the body of your e-mail. One author may submit no more than one single-authored and one co-authored abstract.
Notification of acceptance will be sent before July 15.
The working languages of the conference are Russian and English. Talks are 30 minutes, including discussion. Costs for travel and accommodation are at the expense of participants. There is no conference fee.
