The psychology department at Royal Holloway, University of London is offering a few PhD positions.
Among the list of potential projects there are several language-related projects including two on language evolution:
- Language evolution from a social networks perspective (supervisory team: Shiri Lev-Ari and Ryan McKay)
- Receivers and the evolution of cultural behaviour in bird song (supervisory team: Robert Lachlan, Shiri Lev-Ari, and Kathy Rastle)

These require a full proposal with the entire experimental plan for the PhD, and need to be written together and with support from the supervisory team.
