E-mail this message to a friend We would like to draw your attention to a new release of the Database for Spoken German (''Datenbank für Gesprochenes Deutsch'', DGD):
https://dgd.ids-mannheim.de The DGD is the corpus platform of the Archive for Spoken German (AGD) at the Leibniz Institute for the German Language (IDS). It gives access to 34 corpora documenting the variation of spoken German and its use in interaction, such as:
* The Research and Teaching Corpus of Spoken German: FOLK
* The GeWiss corpus of spoken academic language: GWSS
* The large ''historic'' German dialect corpora including the corpus ''Deutsche Mundarten'' (aka Zwirner-Korpus)
* The more recent variation corpus ''Deutsch Heute -- German Today''
The new release features three new corpora on German, among them the corpus ''German in Namibia (DNAM)'', recently compiled by the project ''Namdeutsch: The dynamics of German in the multilingual context of Namibia'' (
https://www.geisteswissenschaften.fu-berlin.de/en/v/namdeutsch/index.html).
Use of the DGD is free for academic purposes. A registration is required.
With best regards from the DGD team,
Thomas Schmidt
