Meeting Description:

The First International Conference on Sicilian Dialectology, a major event of the Festival of Sicilian Dialects 2021, has been conceived as a moment of knowledge sharing and discussion among scholars interested in the different domains of the study of the Italo-Romance varieties spoken in Sicily.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, since we still don't feel confident we'll able to organise our conference in safety for the original scheduled time (3-5 September, 2021) because of the COVID-19 pandemic threat, we have decided to reschedule it again for the next summer, with the following dates:

New conference dates: July 8-10 2021
New abstract submission deadline: April 23 2021.

Call for Papers:

The abstracts must be sent anonymously, in Italian or in English, with a maximum length of two pages (examples, tables, diagrams and references included), in Times New Roman, 12-point font size, single spaced. It is possible to submit a maximum of two abstracts: one as a single author and the other as a co-author, or a maximum of two abstracts as a co-author.

Each oral presentation will be allotted 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for questions.

The posters, which will be presented during the dedicated session, must be printed in A0 format (841mm-1189mm) and must be oriented vertically.
