The multidisciplinary KLAARA conference is the venue for researchers interested in the study of EtR languages and accessible communication. The conference aims to advance research and networking on modified language used for communication with people who have various difficulties in understanding standard forms of language. Studies from different disciplinary perspectives (social sciences, linguistics, special education, visual communication, translation studies, information design) will be presented and discussed.
After the successful launch of the KLAARA Conference on easy-to-read (EtR) language research in Helsinki 2019, the second international KLAARA conference was originally planned for 2020. Due to Covid-19 it has been postponed to August 30/31 2021. It takes place in Olten, Switzerland.
Already accepted papers will be included for this event, unless otherwise requested. The confirmed contributors will be contacted individually in this regard. There will also be an opportunity to submit additional contributions. A new call for papers will be launched in August 2020.
Registration for participants is open at https://events.fhnw.ch/frontend/index.php?sub=42
