Building on its more than 500-year-long tradition, it offers a broad spectrum that covers all areas of knowledge within its 18 Faculties, ranging from the humanities, law, economics and social sciences, to medicine and the natural sciences.

The Faculty of Languages and Literatures invites applications for two Full Professorships (W3) of German Linguistics (Chair) commencing as soon as possible.

The applicant is to represent German Linguistics in one or more of the following areas: core areas of grammar, language change and variation, pragmatics/interactional linguistics, language acquisition and language processing. Each position will be appointed with a different focus.

The professorships are expected to maintain close contact with the neighboring linguistic disciplines “German as a Foreign Language” and “Didactics of German Language and Literature”.
