The Technical University of Kaiserslautern (TUK) is a research university with a focus on engineering and natural sciences, and an international profile. The below full-time position is offered in the department of computer science at the next available possible date (until 2024). The position is in the context of a project that helps to promote women in the research area of machine learning.

PhD Research Position (m/f/d)

Your tasks are:
- Participation in a project on the topic of „Disentanglement of Style and Topic in Text Data“
- Developing algorithms and methods for the analysis and generation of text data, for hierarchical topic models, transfer learning, domain adaptation, and knowledge insertion/extraction using deep neural networks
- Supervising theses and student assistants

Our requirements:
- University degree (Master, Diplom or similar) in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Applied Mathematics or comparable degrees
- Good communication and presentation skills in English
- Good mathematical background is preferred
- Experience in handling text data and/or generative deep models is preferred
