Call Deadline: 15-Apr-2020

Meeting Description:

The first SCCC met in Paris in September 2016 and was followed up by smaller meetings in North America and the second SCCC in Tbilisi in 2018. Following up on its general theme, SCCC-3 will bring together linguists working on different aspects of the scientific study of language and experts in Georgian and South Caucasian (Kartvelian) languages. Its primary goal is to promote a dialogue between scholars from different approaches and to bring together established and junior scholars all of whom are invested in linguistic studies of the South Caucasus.

As in the prior meetings, we will place emphasis on tutorials, poster sessions, and round tables, to create as much space for informal discussions as possible.

This year’s SCCC will also host a one-day workshop on languages of the entire Caucasus region.

Call for Papers:

Submissions are invited for posters on the scientific study of South Caucasian languages.

Abstracts are invited from all areas: phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, typology, language acquisition, psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics of South Caucasian languages.

Calendar:

Deadline for submission: April 15
Notification of acceptance: June 15
Program posted: August 1

Instructions for Abstract Submission:

Presentations must be in English. Abstracts should be anonymous and must not exceed 2 pages (A4, 1 inch-margins on all four sides, Times New Roman 12 pt.), including data and references. Abstracts must be submitted online to EasyChair: https://easychair.org/cfp/SCCC-3.
