The Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian, and African Languages at Michigan State University is seeking a non-tenure system assistant professor of Korean. This is a full-time, nine-month, academic year position beginning August 16, 2020, and is renewable contingent upon performance.
Responsibilities for this position include:
(a) teaching introductory to advanced Korean language courses (three courses per semester);
(b) participating in curriculum, program development, and experiential and innovative teaching and learning activities;
(c) sharing responsibilities of outreach and co-curricular activities with other Korean faculty; and
(d) contributing to the growth of the Korean Program and the partnership with the Asian Studies Center and/or to the College of Arts & Letters as well as the university itself.
