LanguageARC (https://languagearc.com) is a citizen science web portal for language research developed with the support of a grant from the National Science Foundation (no. 1730377). LanguageARC brings together researchers and the general public into a community dedicated to support and advance language-related research and development. Contributors to this online community can participate in a variety of language-related tasks and activities to support linguistic research such as identifying accents from audio clips, recording “tongue twisters” or picture descriptions and translating English sentences into other languages. New projects will be added on an ongoing basis. In the near future, researchers will be able to create their own language projects on LanguageARC with an easy to use Project Builder Toolkit.

We encourage you to become an active participant in the LanguageARC community. If you are a researcher interested in creating a project on Language ARC, please reach out on the “Contact” page on the website or contact James Fiumara at the Linguistic Data Consortium (jfiumaraldc.upenn.edu).
