The Diversity Travel Fellowship for attending the Boston University Conference on Language Development (BUCLD, the premier annual international conference on language development organized by students) is funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health for the purpose of promoting diversity in science. The award is meant to assist students who are interested in attending BUCLD by offsetting some of their travel expenses with a stipend of up to $600. For this year’s fully virtual conference, applicants are encouraged to list all costs associated with attending a virtual conference, which may include (but are not limited to): internet services, child/elder care, temporary lodging, accessibility software, etc.

Students need not be authors on abstracts to apply. Preference is given to applicants with the greatest need, those who have not previously received a travel award, and underrepresented minorities.

The application for the 2021 Diversity Enhancement Award is now available! The deadline to submit an application for this award (via the form at https://bit.ly/bucld-diversity ) is October 1, 2021. Questions may be directed to the conference organizing committee at langconfbu.edu.
