This post is to cover the Faculty's teaching needs during research leave to be taken by Dr Elinor Payne.
Departmental Lecturer in Phonetics and Phonology (Part-time) (UK Departmental Lecturer is similar to non-tenure-track Professor (US))
Grade 7: £32,817 to £40,322 p.a. (pro rata)
The Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics is seeking to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Phonetics and Phonology to assume teaching, examining and research responsibilities for six months in the area of Phonetics and Phonology.
This is a part-time (0.75 FTE) fixed-term post (6 months) from 1 October 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Qualified candidates will hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD/DPhil in a relevant area of Phonology and Phonetics, and will have a research record appropriate to the stage of your career along with aptitude for, and experience of, teaching. A willingness and ability to take on some administrative tasks is a requirement, as is a readiness to collaborate.
