The School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences (PPLS) of the University of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint a research assistant on a part time (0.6 FTE), fixed-term contract for a period of 16 months. The position is available as of the January 2022.

The opportunity:

The role involves development of empirical tests for a set of semantic properties relevant for the vocabularies (in collaboration with the PI and other team members) and annotation of these properties based on the tests in consultation with native speakers.

Your skills and attributes for success:
- Undergraduate and/or MA/MSc-level degree in linguistics
- Knowledge of syntax and formal semantics.
- Ability to control for various grammatical and extra-grammatical factors in testing linguistic properties.
