Description:
The Department of English at Mississippi State University invites applications for a tenure-track position for an assistant professor specializing in phonetics, phonology, or

promotion.
Our department has committed to sustained antiracist work in areas including hiring, curricula, pedagogy, and the recruitment and retention of students, faculty, and staff. This search is one of three departmental hires
this year (also including creative writing and professional writing), which we hope will help us rethink our curriculum, leading to more inclusive pedagogy across the department.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate
must have an earned doctorate in Linguistics or a closely related field (or ABD with degree completed by August 15, 2022), as well as college teaching experience. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
