Subject: Pronunciation of *r and *h1r in PIE
E-mail this message to a friend I'm working on a paper that touches on the pronunciation of both *r and *h1r in Proto-Indo-European/Proto-Indo-Anatolian. In that regard, I've come across a 2004 posting on the Linguist List that suggests looking at a dissertation by Stephen Israel at U. of North Carolina Chapel Hill ''ca. 1993''. I've been unable to locate either Dr. Israel or his dissertation. I'd truly appreciate any leads people might be able to furnish. Also, of course, pointers to other research on the topic would be welcome.
