The Centre for Linguistic Research, University of Aberdeen, is proud to invite you to an online public lecture:

Noun phrases in old Germanic languages
Professor Kristin Bech, University of Oslo
1830 GMT, Wednesday 10 February

In this talk I am going to present some of the topics that have been of interest in a recent research project on noun phrases in early Germanic. I will show some data from Old English, Old Norse, Old High German, Old Saxon and Gothic, focusing on Old English, and some of our findings. I will also demonstrate the linguistically annotated noun phrase database that we have made. At the end of the talk, if there is time, I would like to depart from this topic and briefly talk about a public engagement project that I have been working on, which you might find interesting. The presentation is not going to be overly technical or specialized – I hope to make it generally understandable. I am looking forward to meeting you!
