E-mail this message to a friend Andrew John (Andy) Lock, Professor of Psychology and well-recognized for his important works on human symbolic evolution, has died.
Andy passed away peacefully on Friday 1 April 2022 with his beloved wife, Tracy Lipscomb Riley, by his side. Andy will be greatly missed by his children and their families: Hannah, Joris, George, Poppy, and Mac; Duncan, Tegan, and Ava; Joe and Emmeline; Shelby, Jessyjean, Preston, Isis, Raakau, River, and Riley. He will also be missed by his American family and many friends worldwide. Born in Cardiff, Wales in 1950, Andy was a Professor Emeritus in Psychology at Massey University. He was a respected international scholar with an academic career spanning 42 years. Andy was a keen gardener, avid reader and adventurous traveller who loved fine wine, great food and every type of music. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations please to Arohanui Hospice
