NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) SITE

Intersection of Linguistics, Language and Culture

2022-23 Student Fellowship

What?

Complete a language-science research project guided by a Professor-Mentor and participate in workshops on promoting diverse science and applying to graduate school.


Who?

Undergraduate students residing in the NYC area, who are from (but not limited to) historically disadvantaged groups and/or who use/are familiar with Languages Other Than English and/or non-standardized varieties of English (e.g., African-American English, Jamaican English).

When?

12 weeks of the Fall 22 and Spring 23 semesters, 6-8 hours per week, and

Two 1-week summer sessions, August 2022 & June 2023

REU Student Fellows are awarded a stipend of $5,200 for participation in the program. Deadline to Apply:
