Subject: Assistance for a project in Russian Phonetics
E-mail this message to a friend Assistance is required for a project in Russian dialectal phonetics led by Dr. Alexander Krasovitsky, University of Oxford. The task involves:
(i) manual adjustment of segment boundaries in Praat pre-annotated textgrids (produced automatically using forced alignment software);
(ii) annotating syllables on one tier of a textgrid (i. e. ‘stressed’, ‘1st pretonic’, etc).
Audio recordings (in .wav format) and corresponding textgrids will be made downloadable via one of the online interfaces.
The total duration of the recordings is 12.5 hours, payment is £40 (appr. $48) per audio hour. The work is to be completed by the end of July 2022.
Requirements
Experience in acoustic phonetics and in Praat.
Native or near-native proficiency in Russian.
