The organizer of the Evolution of Language Discussion List asked me to
offer this note to LINGUIST List (I deleted the subscription
instructions after subscribing, so you might repeat them below from
your archive?):
> Hello All,
> I have had several queries as to why I didn't include the word
> "Linguist" in my description of people that should join the list.
> My only defense is that I thought that they were covered in
> "Anthropologists", because when I took Linguistics courses, it was
> in the Anthro department. So, OF COURSE I want Linguists on this
> list! Wouldn't be much of what I wanted as a list without them. So
> spread the word to any Linguists that you might know. Thanks, Matt
