Subject: Manchester Postgrad Conference Announcement & Call for Papers

Announcing the Seventh Annual Postgraduate Linguistics Conference at
the University of Manchester, to be held on Saturday, March 28, 1998.
The conference is organized by postgraduates for postgraduates, in
order to share ideas and present our research. Proceedings will
consist of up to 28 papers of 20 minutes in all areas of linguistics,
as well as a guest speaker, Prof. Anna Siewierska of Lancaster
University. These will be published in the PLUM series (Papers in
Linguistics from the University of Manchester). A modest registration
fee of stlg5 is asked of all attendees to defray expenses. We

Deadline for registration is February 27, 1998. NOTE: if you are
interested in submitting a paper, we must receive all abstracts NO
