    A few months ago I sent a query whether there any news groups for lexicographers. Since then I have learned of the existence of one: I am quoting from an Email from Dr.Thierry Fontenelle a member of the committee of Euralex.

    <<The Web site hosted by the university of Stuttgart (http://www2.ims.uni- stuttgart.de/euralex/) already includes a fair amount of pointers to useful tools, dictionaries, corpora, publishers, sister organisations, etc. This site contains on-line information which Euralex members can consult at any moment and usually find very useful (how to become a member, the Euralex Newsletter, a bibliography of phraseology, a calendar of Euralex-related events, pointers to relevant journals such as IJL, address! es...). Besides this web site, Euralex members can also use a mailing list which enables them to inform their colleagues about a particular event or request information about a given topic (euralexims.uni-stuttgart.de : note that all the messages sent to this address are sent to all the subscribers; information about (un)subscription can be found at the following URL: http://www2.ims.uni- stuttgart.de/euralex/MailingList.html ). From September onwards, this mailing list will be moderated by Dr Ulrich Heid, Euralex's Assistant Secretary- Treasurer (from the University of Stuttgart).

    This is to announce PrinParam, a new electronic list for discussions in Chomskyan syntax.

    PrinParam is a list for discussions of Chomskyan syntax and issues in linguistics in the Principles and Parameters tradition. Messages are welcome on any topic related to these issues and may be in the form of squibs, queries, book reviews, conference announcements, and, especially, ongoing, back-and-forth discussions of issues in Chomskyan syntax. It is expected that many list members who are engaged in an active reading of the works of Noam Chomsky and his leading colleagues will approach the list with questions for clarification, and this is highly encouraged.
