Journal Information

Title: Language Arts and Linguistics
Publisher: Routledge (Taylor and Francis)
Description: Language Arts and Linguistics publishes research articles connecting linguistics and the creative verbal arts and media. An international, peer-reviewed journal, LAL seeks contributions from contemporary theoretical perspectives, using a variety of research methods, as well as articles focused on global languages, issues and texts. Language Arts areas include, but are not limited to, literature, fiction and drama, popular culture, film, other media and multiliteracies, critical and creative thinking, intercultural sensitivity, civics and ethics. LAL takes a broad view of both text and language, encompassing traditional texts, issues and approaches, but setting these into a broad continuum of spoken, performed, written and media texts. We have a strength in Asian topics, but strongly welcome papers from around the globe, as well as research work from all linguistics approaches and cross-disciplinary work.
