Journal Information

Title: Book of Squibs: Topics in the formal study of language
Publisher: Laboratory of Formal Studies of Language
Description: Book of Squibs: Topics in the formal study of language aims to promote the scientific research on human language, developed within the framework of Generative Grammar in the fields of syntax, morphology, semantics and its interfaces. The Book of Squibs is the first Brazilian journal to publish only squibs on aspects involving formal approaches in the study of grammar. In linguistic usage, a squib is a short article. It may outline anomalous data but not suggest a solution and it may also develop a minor theoretical argument. The term was popularized by J. R. Ross (1960).
