Description: Jadavpur Journal of Languages and Linguistics (JJLL) is the official journal of School of Languages and Linguistics, Jadavpur University. JJLL is published twice in a year. JJLL aims to present work of current interest in all areas of linguistics. Contributions are required to contain such general theoretical implications as to be of interest to any linguist, irrespective of their specializations. No particular linguistic theories or scientific trends are favored: scientific quality and scholarly standing are the only criteria applied in the selection of papers accepted for publication. JJLL publishes papers of any length, if justified, as well as review articles surveying developments in the various fields of linguistics, and occasional discussions. Book reviews are also welcomed. JJLL also publishes short length articles consisting of provocative exchanges expressing strong opinions on central topics in linguistics.
