|Description:||The purpose of this peer-reviewed online journal is to provide a venue for the dissemination of descriptions of language use and usage from a wide number of perspectives, including linguistic, sociolinguistic, socio-psychological, usage-based and cognitive. Areas of particular interest are language evolution and contact phenomena, learning-related issues, communicative strategies, variation and variability, multicompetence, linguistic repertoires, and linguae francae, among others.
Papers must include a study with a formalized methodology underpinning the analysis of samples of observed communicative events taking the form of corpora or equivalent compilations.
There are no fees of any kind involved, neither to publish nor to access the contents of the journal.
We aim to provide rapid review and publication, with initial feedback within four weeks.
