Abstract: The Ojibwe Band has gone from being a group living as hunters and gatherers to a people involved in, amongst other things, the gaming industry. In an interview-cum-discussion covering various political, economic and social issues, Mr. Andrew Favorite, tribal archivist, historian and enrolments officer, reveals his perspectives on the life and times of the Ojibwe of White Earth Reservation, Minnesota, USA. 'Critical Language Analysis' of Mr. Favorite's words reveal that he simultaneously both comments on, and creates, certain realities.
