Abstract: In this paper I try to show an organization of the sociolectal variation in Galicia (northwest of Spain). As is known, Galicia is a country with two languages, Galician and Spanish, in contact. In order to present the Galician and Spanish sociolects of Galicia, I use the terms "basilect", "mesolect", "acrolect" and "roof-language". I show how the Galician sociolects can be identified by the degree of interference between both languages.
