The Asturian Language Academy (ALLA) is an institution pertaining to the Principality of Asturias (Spain) that was created in 1980 by Decree 33/1980, of 15 December, of the Regional Council of Asturias. Its main aims are the standarization and normalization of the Asturian Language.Alongside this activity normativizing the Asturian Language Academy plays an important research activity on the Asturian language and literature, works that appear in collections and publications as the official journal of the institution, Lletres Asturianes [Asturian Letters], a biannual basis and has published, to the present, 115 numbers.
