"Buenos dias", "buenas noches" -- this was the first words in a foreign language I heard in my life, as a three-year old boy growing up in developing post-war Western Germany, where the first gastarbeiters had arrived from Spain. Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. programm specially designed for chat mining. With the help of TEXOR you can
detect topics of chat so as to prevent undesirable events such as acts of
violence or terrorist attacks. The free online version of TEXOR is

The CLL at KSU conducts non commercial research within scopes of
information retrieval, text summarization, corpus linguistics, data mining,
and computer assisted language learning. Other products of the CLL at KSU
are ETS (Event Tracking Summarizer), TITE (Translation in Teaching
English), and PASS (Partially Automatic Summarization). All these products
are distributed as freeware.
