"Buenos dias", "buenas noches" -- this was the first words in a foreign language I heard in my life, as a three-year old boy growing up in developing post-war Western Germany, where the first gastarbeiters had arrived from Spain. Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. Program Description: The Master's Program in Information Technology and Cognition at the University of Copenhagen is seeking ambitious and talented international students. Courses include advanced courses in cognitive science, machine learning, natural language processing, human-oriented computing and cognitive psychology. The students at the program will receive intense support and supervision throughout the two years in monthly meetings with their supervisors. Students will also be encouraged to produce conference publications, present papers at student workshops and collaborate with the industry or public institutions. Students are typically employed in academia as researchers, in the information and communication technology industry or as developers or project leaders in companies and public institutions. The deadline for applications from EU citizens is April 1.
