Program Size: Large (over 25 students)
Program Description: We offer a one-year M.A. and a four-year Ph.D. program with courses and specialization in either in Linguistics or Applied Linguistics. In Linguistics, students can focus on sociolinguistics (language variation and change, discourse analysis), formal linguistics (phonology, syntax), psycholinguistics, or language and law. In Applied Linguistics, students can focus on second language education and assessment, language policy and planning, narrative studies, as well as multi-modal and e-learning.
Available Financial Aid:
Funding to help meet the financial needs for graduate students who are residents of Canada is made up from one or more of the following internal and external funding sources: awards, fellowships, scholarships, teaching assistantships, research assistantships, or graduate assistantships.
Funding available for International graduate students is limited.
