Program Description: Department website: http://www.fresnostate.edu/artshum/linguistics/ The Linguistics Department at Fresno State offers a Bachelor of Arts degree program with four options: General Linguistics, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages/Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (TESOL/SLAT), Computational Linguistics, and Interdisciplinary Language Studies. The department also offers a program for an undergraduate certificate of special study in TESOL/SLAT. Our Master of Arts in Linguistics program offers two options: General Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages/Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (TESOL/SLAT) Students from other disciplines may also earn a graduate certificate of advanced study in TESOL/SLAT.
